Full-time Position

Rhyno’s has a successful 45-year track-record in Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration. More recently, we’ve added Plumbing and Sheet Metal fabrication to better serve our growing list of commercial, residential, industrial, and marine customers.

We have strong Administration, Sales & Marketing, and Service Operations teams to support our amazing field technicians and our growing customer base.

We are currently looking for hard-working and dependable an Oil Burner Technician with residential and commercial experience. Both Red Seal certification and apprentices are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Provide service & customer support during field visits.
Completion of work order forms, detailing work performed and materials used, assist in inventory and stock control, and compiling of supply orders.
Liaise with dispatchers and sales team.
Supervision/training of apprentices as required (depending on certification level).
Be on call-out team to handle emergencies.
Produce timely and detailed service reports.
Keep your company van stocked & tidy at all times.
Follow company procedures and protocols.
Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.

Schedule

Monday-Friday; 7:30am-5pm
Occasional on-call shifts evenings & weekends

Skills & Qualifications

Oil Burner Technician - Red Seal certification or apprentice
Understand current regulations within the field
Install oil heating systems in residential and/or commercial settings
Assemble oil burner heating systems components.
Maintenance of oil heating systems in residential and/or commercial settings
Perform preventative maintenance work on motors, pumps, control devices, boilers, forced air furnaces, and oil-fired hot water tanks
Troubleshoot, problem-solve and repair oil heating systems
Valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract
Mechanical aptitude
Highly reliable
Complete high-quality work with efficiency
Exercise good judgement
Excellent organizational & time management skills
Strong communication skills (written & verbal), to liaise with office-team and customers
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Outstanding customer service skills
Interest in learning emerging technology of the industry
