IN THE COMMUNITY
Rhyno's believes that businesses have a responsibility to give back to the communities that support them.
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much"
- Helen Keller
The team at Rhyno's feels very fortunate to be based on the beautiful south shore of Nova Scotia. Every Child Matters
This year Rhyno’s partnered with local indigenous business owner, Michelle Roy of Two Feathers Mi'kmaq Designs based in Liverpool. Michelle designed these orange shirts with 100% of the proceeds going towards the purchasing of Indigenous books for elementary schools in Lunenburg & Queens County.
Pink Shirt Day
in support of Stand Up Against Bullying
Today, and everyday, Rhyno’s is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our colleagues, clients, friends and family. We recognize the seriousness of bullying and the issues it causes in our schools, workplaces, homes and online.
That’s why we proudly participated in Pink Shirt Day in support of Stand Up Against Bullying Day. Together, we can work together to raise awareness of these issues.
Pink Shirt Day was born out of students in Berwick coming together after one of their colleagues was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In recognition of this, Nova Scotia proclaimed the second Thursday of September Stand Up Against Bullying Day.
Supporting Local Arena's
Rhyno’s is proud to support our local community arenas. We proudly have our logos displayed in ice at the Lunenburg Arena, Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre, Queens Place Emera Centre and the Yarmouth Mariners Centre.
Take us out to the ball game!
In August Rhyno’s proudly supported the Chester Castaways Jr. C hockey team by participating in their softball fundraiser tournament.
Tim Horton's Smile Campaign for Cystic Fibrosis
In January of 2019 local business man Camren Fleck and his wife, Sarah, welcomed Hudson to their family. After a stay in the IWK Children’s Hospital, Hudson was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic, progressive and frequently fatal genetic disease.
On September 19th - 25th all Tim Hortons locations in Bridgewater donated all proceeds from the purchase of smile cookies to helping those living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Rhyno’s is proud to support this initiative and stand with Hudson and his family in their fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
Keep Smiling Hudson!
